Udaipur, formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, it’s set around a series of artificial lakes and is known for its lavish royal residences. It is also known as kashmir of rajasthan and Venice of East.

CITY PALACE

Maharaja Udai Singh started it’s construction in 1553. It takes 400 years to completed. It is situated at pichola lake. It’s main gate called hathi prol build by granite and marble .

PICHOLA LAKE

It is 5 km. long and 3 km of width. and it was created in 1362 AD. Jag Niwas, Jag Mandir , Jalmahal are island of this lake. We can enjoy boating here.

JAG MANDIR

This is a 3 story building. Situated at south part of pichola lake, It’s top build by marble and yellow sandstone looks like crown.

MOTI MAGRI

It is situated at bank of fateh sagar lake at the mountain called as moti magri. It is Memorial of Maharana Pratap. It has a bronze statue of maharana pratap and his horse Chetak.

FATEH SAGAR LAKE

It is build by maharaja Jai Singh in 1678 . It’s Dam which gone destroyed by heavy rain renovate by maharawal Fatehsingh. we can enjoy walking and driving around it’s bank.

Saheliyon ki bari

Garden of maids was built from 1710 to 1734 by Maharana Sangram Singh for the royal ladies.Saheliyon-ki-Bari is a major garden and a popular tourist space in Udaipur in Indian state of Rajasthan. It lies in northern part of the city and has fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool and marble elephants.

Shrinathji Temple
